Twisty canyon road a few miles out of town aptly dubbed "Slip n' Slide. The road was about two miles long, fairly narrow and had many features to challenge drivers. There were pot holes, loose dirt, bumps and faster sections that always came right before a hairpin turn. The start was super slow and many driver and to assist their cars until they could gain enough momentum to head down the course. Once at speed the course lived up to its name as many drivers including the winner spun out in many of the turns. The second heat was ran a little more conservable and we were able to navigate the turns with less 360 action. We also had a soapbox historical moment as we have our first girl to earn her DRIVER shirt, many have tried in the past but none have made two trophy races to earn their shirt until now.
