April 8th Re-Cap
Race day: April 8th, 2007. I was thinking; "I'm sliding on my head." After navigating the twists and turns for Ye Old Spanish Mission the dip at the end got me sideways and I did a roll. I got right back up and finished, even beating out some cars that did not crash. The rest of the race was a blur. Experiencing a form of tunnel vision, the details of the run are foggy. This race was one of the most intense experiences that I have ever had. This being a short course with hairpin turns and a dip made the action all the faster. When we all got to the bottom, everyone kept saying, "That was the course, that was the course!" Or exclaiming it was the best race yet. As we were setting up for the second run the police showed up. We went to ask them what was up they said they had to call a park ranger so we had some time. What? We scrambled to our rides and did another run. The police said it was nice to see some people having some good clean fun for a change.
